Examination copies are made available for instructors who wish to review textbooks for possible adoption. In an effort to reduce the number of free books sent and to help reduce the price of textbooks, we allow 90 days for reviewing our books and present instructors with three options:
1. If instructors adopt our books as required textbooks, they may keep the books as their desk copies. Instructors must simply verify this decision by supplying the course title and the phone number of the bookstore that will handle the order. Recommending a book or using it as an optional classroom tool does not constitute an adoption.
2. An instructor may purchase the book. If an instructor does not adopt the book but wishes to keep it for personal use, and invoice is provided. If the book is neither adopted nor returned, the invoice must be paid.
3. An instructor may return the book within 90 days and the invoice will be void.
ASM Press Desk Copy Policy
A free desk copy is provided after a book is adopted as a required textbook. Please indicate the expected enrollment of the course and the phone number of the bookstore where the order will be placed. Again, recommended or optional uses do not constitute adoptions.
Instructor Resource Materials
Instructor resource materials such as CDs with figures and tables are provided only to qualified adopters.
